Periuk Belanga @ Dataran Glomac Kelana Jaya

After long shopping day, suddenly I am craving for some local and spicy food. Basically, I just want to have some Malay Food, thinking where to eat is always headache for me, since I am not a local here and travelling is always been an issue. Thanks for my ex-Uni-mates, they bring me here for dinner at Periuk Belanga, which located at Kelana Jaya. First impression is, why the shop is empty? and I been thinking may because they are located behind the main road. However, I also notice there are few foods restaurant nearby too, and all serve Malay Food, from Nasi Lemak to grill fish as well as Vegetarian food as well.

After sited, we order the drink first;

That is Bandung Soda and Asam Boi drink. The drink serve fast and my asam boi taste very super sour. Basically, they just put 5 dried sour plum and water, a bit regret ordering that drink. Following we order the penyet set as I very lazy to go though the whole menu and then decide what to eat.

I have the Talapia Penyet and my friend is having the Ayam Penyet, it also serve with white rice and soup. Due to hunger we finished the meal in 10 minute, well I would say the food is not that bad but I don't really like the chilli sambal, as they didn't grind it properly and it got stuck on my teeth!

Finally, we are full and I asked for the bill, the meal total cost RM22.00. However, I think the staff over charge us, as written in the menu the both penyet cause RM8 and RM7, the drink cost RM 1.80 and RM3.80?! Anyway, since the food is not bad and is recommended by my friend, so I don't feel like question the staff. Next time, I would like to try other restaurant there for sure!
