Shogun2u Delivery @ Klang Valley

If you all remember my visit to Saisaki Japanese Buffet recently, and I did mentions about this Shogun2u delivery. I have to admit that I try the delivery is due to the 50% off promotion during the Raya months for both main course and sushi. Let see, first - how to order? I went to their website @ www.shogun2u.com

Next, as usual - login by entering both your id and password. After login in, please select your City and Area. Then you may start to choose what you desire. Since the promotion last month is 50% off for both mains and sushi, so here is what I had ordered;

Ninja Pack (10 pcs) - RM17.90

Teriyaki Chicken - RM16.90

Yakiniku Beef - RM17.90

Fried Bun (3 pcs) - FREE

 Overall the food taste quite nice and this is my second time order, even though my first time order is disaster which the food arrive after 4 hours but the second time is only late by 15 mins due to the rains. I got the fried bun for FREE due to the my previous order came super late and the bun taste super nice like the chicken Char Siew bun that put in deep fried with the crunchy skin.

I enjoy the chicken Teriyaki and Sushi and as for the Yakiniku beef is nice as well, all the main course serve with 2 slice of pickle and vegetable with the thousand island source. The total for the 2 main course and a pack of sushi is RM52.70 and after 50% discount so the final figure is RM26.35 nett (inclusive GST). The minimum order for free delivery is RM25 and you can pay when the food arrive.

So is not only the price is affordable and I do like their service especially you can chat with the customer service though online and check your order status. Currently, they are having the Merdeka promotion where you just have to type the promocode 'MERDEKA50' at the checkout to enjoy 50% for their mains. The promotion is valid till 24 Aug 2015. Enjoy~

Boat Noodle @ Empire Damansara, Damansara Perdana

Boat Noodle again?
Haha~ I know, another Thai food again. If you all remember that recently, I did visit a similar restaurant at Kota Damansara, Aroi Thai Boat Noodle. Actually, I had been to this Boat Noodle house in Empire Damasara for few times but yet I never review it.

This Boat Noodle restaurant is located at Empire Damansara, if you familiar with Damansara Perdana this wouldn't be something new to you, however, it actually located before the LHDN or next to the new hotel Qliq. Anyway, the best way is to find it >>> google map lor~ Sorry, as I am not good in giving direction.

The Entrance and Menu

Now, let see what I had;
Ka Num Toay - RM1.00/set of 2 pcs

I love this dessert so much, and they serve this dish first may be is an appetizer? Well, who care, since I always can't wait to try. This dish remind me of Kuih Talam, if you had this pandan and coconut kuih before trust me is the same in term of taste >> Sweet~

Beef/Chicken Pathumthani/Ayutthaya Rice Noodle - RM1.90 each bowl

Well, please don't ask me which noodle is which flavour now. I am also got confused, but I do believe the one with the sheered meat is chicken and the one without should be beef.  Hahaha~ well, I do love the unique taste of both flavour, either beef of chicken did not make any different for me. I do enjoy the mini serving and please don't deceive by the picture, the real serving is really small.

Order Guide

I, myself had 3 bowl for minimum. So can you guess how small is the serving?

Grilled Beef Meat Ball - RM5.90/set of 2 stick

The beef meat ball do taste like the one grill in Thailand, I think the sauce do make a trick of it as well. the spiciness which blend with the sweet taste really make one craving for more. It had somehow, become my favourite now. I should have try the chicken meat ball next.

Ice Blended Thai Green Tea - RM8.90

As for the drinks, I settle wit the Ice Blended Thai Green Tea. Well, first it didn't taste like green tea but it delicious, the sweetness and the smooth of the ice blended which make the drink close to perfect. Even though is quite expensive for the drinks but I still think is worth to try. Since how often do we seen anywhere serve Thai Green Tea?

Interior of the restaurant

Even though the place is quite small and crowded but they did a good job is their interior. It do give a retro feeling to the customer. Overall, the experience is not bad and I did go back from time to time. As for the final bill, me and my sister had total of 6 bowl of rice noodle @ RM1.90 each and others as shown above, the bill come to sub-total of RM27.20 and RM30.30 inclusive of 5% service charge and 6% GST. Still affordable right?

Damansara Uptown Hokkien Mee @ Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya

Hokkien Mee is always been my favorite since I am kids. This dish is a very popular dish in KL even there are few good and famous restaurant or stall selling Hokkien Mee in KL. Some of the place even offer charcoal Hokkien Mee. Besides Hokkien Mee, sometimes I do craving for Loh Mee, and I don't know since when the Loh Mee had become my favourite instead of Hokkien Mee. I know there are few version of Loh Mee depend where you from, I like my Loh Mee that using big yellow noodles which the same noodle they use to fried Hokkien Mee. If you thinking the Penang or Singapore Loh Mee, I can tell you that this is totally different.

This restaurant had been in uptown since long ago when I first try their noodle I think should be somewhere 7 years ago. This place is still crowd at night especially dinner time, either weekend or weekday. So if you would like to drop by here for dinner, you might want to come as early as 5pm or 6pm.

Fried Rice for 1 pax - RM8.50

The fried rice as shown above, the taste is just so-so. I feel like it was slightly oily and the serving is not as big as expected, really just enough for 1 person. The ingredient is just simple and I only found 2 or 3 prawn inside. Nothing much to praise about.

Loh Mee for 1 pax - RM8.50

This Loh Mee is totally, way under my expectation. When the noodle arrive, I was surprise and the first question prompt in my head is how come the white in colour? I even ask the staff to verify and they told me this is Loh Mee, and even hand me the vinegar. Once the first impression had kill my mood, I can tell you everything been sucks till the end. The noodle is just normal, the soup is tasteless and watery. Is a total failed for me and I don't understand how can they be famous?! may be is their Hokkien Mee alone is the best and which make them famous?!

The Restaurant Signboard

Their service is fast as there have lots of worker, and they even order using a smart-tablet, how advance. Our food is actually arrive faster than the drinks. Both me and my husband ordered Herbal Tea at RM2.00 each. The total bill come at RM22.25 inclusive of 6% GST at RM1.26 for our meal. I don't think I will be going back again. What a disappointed experience, and if compare with the first time I had my meal here, I would say it totally getting worst.

However, my husband told me that they had a branch in Kota Damansara and the taste is much better than this. With the price that we are paying and overrated food, I definitely rather try others restaurant around Damansara Uptown which also offer Hokkien Mee as their signature dish as well.
