Japanese Grill @ Iyakimono, Citta Mall

It look like my husband and I been going to Citta Mall for movie again. This time we are watching Penguins from Madagascar. I really enjoy this movie, since MBO having the promotion where the 3D and 2D movie is same price therefore we go for 3D movie, however, they wanted us to buy the 3D glasses at RM3 each and we are allowed to bring back. So not bad, I think and I hope they should have all the movie in 3D since the price is same. Before the movie start, we are looking for some quickie to have and found this stall nearby the escalator. A simple Japanese food and have limited menu and space to sit.

Once we seated and I start order Yaki Salmon Set for myself and my husband order Chicken Teriyaki set and 2 green tea for us. I was surprise the my salmon set came first and is quite disappointing since is different from the picture and thinner than I expected. But with the price I am paying so may be this is what I shall deserve.

Grill Salmon

The salmon is too thin and over cooked, all set is coming with a rice and Miso soup. Nothing is too special to talk about. As for my husband Chicken Teriyaki set, it look slightly better than my grill salmon.

 Chicken Teriyaki

Well, I will say this one taste nicer if compare to my grill salmon, however the only thing which I don't understand is why there is Wasabi at the corner of the plate? also why serve is with soy sauce?
too many question to wonder but since there is no time to think as we are going for a movie soon so we just eat without saying anything.

Overall, the food is all just ok and the total  bill is RM36.55 which inclusive of 5% service tax. The Yaki Salmon set is RM17.90, Chicken Teriyaki set is RM14.90 and a hot green tea is RM2.00. Since we are going for quickie so no comment as I am more excited on the movie than the food. By the way, I think the food is Halal since I saw there are some Malay having the meal there and the servant mostly are Malay too.

Grill Fish @ Kwai Lam Seafood Restaurant

Last weekend, both me and my husband went for a movie, Big Hero 6, in Citta Mall. After the movie is around 7pm, we start to roam around the mall to find a place for dinner that will suit my mood. However, after half an hour we still can't decide what to have and I am starving already!!! Therefore, my hubby decide to bring me to this place called 'Restoran makanan laut Kwai Lam'.

This place is full and pack with people, we have to wait a bit for the waiter to get a seat. According my husband, this place is famous with grill fish but surprisingly lots people order their fried chicken wing.

                          Wet Tissue

We have to wait a bit before we manage to get a seat. The first question from the person who take our order is, do u wan grill fish? String ray or Talapia? Next would be chicken wing? How many? Actually they can take any amount of chicken wing so just give a number. Then only they start asking you, 2 person? What drink would you like and others dishes. So let check it out what I had order;-

                   Grill fish - Stringray

Well let talk about the grill fish first, well is ok for me but I would like the sauce much better. Actually, we would prefer to have the chicken fish instead of Stringray but since they only have either Stringray and Talapia only. For that piece of grill fish cost is RM14.50, and trust me, you will never have enough of the sauce.

                        Fried chicken wing

Next is the fried chicken wing, it cost RM2.50 each, quite expensive but that is the price in the city nowadays. I tasted the chicken and I feel like, it had marinated with Kentucky powder + 5 spices powder before go for deep fried. The smell is nice and the taste is superb. I wonder how to resist this temptation?!

                   Fried pucuk kayu

For vegetable, they recomend us this fried sweet potato leaves with garlic (fried 'pucuk kayu' with garlic). The taste is just normal and you may see the serving is a bit small due to they fried together for few serving and it cost RM9.00 for a small plate of fried local vegetable.

                     Chinese fried rice

Instead of taking white rice, we order fried rice as we saw some table is ordering either Hokkien Mee or Fried rice. To my liking the fried rice surprising tasty and quite a big serving and it only cost RM6.50. For my next visit, I would like to try their Hokkien Mee.

Overall, the food is good and I will come back again but not during dinner time as they don't provide parking and I need to park at some small dark lane nearby. I will come again may be for supper which I can park at the roadside near the restaurant. The total bill is RM41.90 for the 4 dishes above, 40 cents for the 2 packets of wet tissue and a pot of Chinese Tea for 2 person at RM1.50.
